Fundraising and Events Volunteer (Walk to Remember)

Opportunity image

Available from 5th October 2025

Walk to Remember brings together families, walkers of all ages and four-legged friends in the stunning grounds of Ashton Court. Before the walk begins, participants will gather in our welcoming event village for refreshments, live entertainment, and a chance to connect with others.

After the walk, participants can take a moment to write a message, memory or thought on a special tag and hang it on our memory tree.

During the walk, participants will be surrounded by the beauty of autumn. Pass through golden woodlands, alongside the deer park, and past the iconic mansion house. A scenic viewpoint offers a moment of reflection overlooking the city. Children can enjoy a dedicated activity trail along the route, making it a meaningful experience for all ages.

Walk to Remember provides a way to honour the memory of loved ones alongside others who have been through a similar journey.

Our event days are busy, and we’re always grateful for an extra pair of hands! We are looking for:

  • Car park volunteers
  • Registration volunteers
  • Marshals on the route
  • Front walker
  • Back walker
  • Bucket collecting volunteers

Some roles may finish by 11am.

It’s a fun and rewarding way to get involved with the Hospice’s work and support patient care.
